Dear Citizens, Members, and Visitors,
On behalf of the Voluntary Planning Board of Directors, I welcome you to experience what may be one of the most unique policy development organizations in the world.
Over forty years ago Voluntary Planning began as the Nova Scotia government's sole economic planning agency. Our role and mandate has evolved. Today, as a Citizens' Policy Forum, the organization engages Nova Scotians on issues crucial to the well-being of our province.
We develop policy advice for the Premier, Cabinet, and departments of government through volunteer-led citizen engagement processes.
Never before have issues been so complex. And never before have Nova Scotians had such great avenues to participate through advances in information technology.
Our elected representatives and public servants need your continued participation. Get involved. Take time to volunteer your thoughts. Consider becoming a participant in this most valuable contribution to democracy Voluntary Planning a Citizens' Policy Forum.
