Voluntary Planning Blog

Honest...there's a canal there...

I was challenged yesterday on whether or not a canal was really there. When you make a post about a meeting at the Shubenacadie Canal I guess it's a good idea to actually include a photo of the canal itself.

I took the time this morning to scan in a photo (yeah, that's right, I still use film) of the Canal itself that I snapped just a short time before the meeting started.

See! We were there. Honest.

Meeting at the Shubenacadie

The volunteers on the Natural Resources Project Committee have continued to meet regularly as they design their engagment plan and continue to learn more about the 4 topic areas the project is concerned with (forests, minerals, parks and biodiversity). The meeting last week was held at the Fairbanks Centre next to the Shubenacadie Canal. A beautiful spot for the meeting.

With the launch of the new Voluntary Planning website, the project has a proper web page all to itself. There's not a whole lot there right now, but it will begin to get populated with more and more content.

A brand new blog!

Welcome to Voluntary Planning’s blog!

We’re incredibly excited at VP to have launched ourselves into the blogosphere. We’re also quite proud that this post marks the first (and hopefully last) time we’ve ever used the word "blogosphere."

The Voluntary Planning (VP) blog is linked to the main Voluntary Planning webpage, however it is quite a different place. The intention of the VP blog is to provide links, information and progress updates and miscellaneous items of interest on all work related to Voluntary Planning.

We hope that visitors like yourselves will feel inclined to comment and contribute. As Voluntary Planning evolves its processes, we hope that this blog becomes a place where all Nova Scotians can have an opportunity to both learn and contribute.
